Welcome to the Beginnings Assisted Conception Unit at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals
We are a specialised fertility clinic offering state-of-the-art fertility treatments to both NHS and self-funding patient in south west London and Surrey.
Our mission is to help our patients start a healthy family by offering high quality, ethical, individualised fertility care.
Please contact us for further information. Our medical experts and patient support team are always happy to answer individual queries and help you choose the treatment best suited for you.
The Assisted Conception Unit (ACU) at St Helier Hospital is run by a small, enthusiastic and professional team, offering a very personalised and sensitive service to couples who are having problems conceiving.
At Beginnings, we focus on understanding your specific health needs and to help you decide on the best treatment options that suit your particular situation.
We are determined to offer our patients the best experience in a family like environment to help them navigate the complexities of undergoing fertility treatment. We strive to create a home like environment where our patients are relaxed and empowered to express themselves.
Hosted in an NHS university hospital, the Beginnings ACU has strong links to various leading clinical experts across different medical specialities. This helps us to deliver comprehensive and safe care to all patients inclusively no matter how complex their medical background is.
We appreciate how complex and longwinded accessing fertility treatments can be. We designed our care pathway to help patients start their desired fertility treatment asap while minimizing unnecessary delays. Our average time from referral to start of treatment is 4 weeks!
Our success rates are consistent with the national average and we are committed to continuous improvement in order to provide the best services for you.
The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) compare success rates for every licensed clinic in the UK to the national average. Information on success rates is of limited value in comparing centres and choosing where to seek treatment. Find out more about fertility clinic success rates and advice on choosing a clinic on the HFEA website.
